Your money data stays yours
Upbil works with bank statements, so we keep only what the app needs to find your subscriptions.
What we keep
- The cleaned-up transactions Upbil needs to spot subscriptions: merchant, amount, currency and date.
- The subscriptions it finds, their price history and your Keep, Review later or Cancel choices.
- Your display currency, language and time zone.
What we don't keep
- Your statement file. It's read in memory and discarded.
- Passwords for your email or bank. We never ask for them.
- Full account numbers, UPI handles or email content in our logs.
How we protect it
Sign in without a password
Use Google, Apple or a one-time code sent to your phone.
Encrypted everywhere
Your data is encrypted while it travels and while it's stored.
Read-only email access
If you connect Gmail or Apple email, Upbil only ever asks for read-only access. It can never send, delete or change your email.
Every sensitive action recorded
Connecting a source, exporting or deleting data and sending an email are all logged for your protection.
You stay in control
Upbil's AI suggests; it never acts on its own. Anything it has guessed is marked with a sparkle until you confirm it.
- Disconnect any source at any time.
- Delete your account and all your data from Settings.
- No email is sent to a provider until you read it and press Send.
- We don't show ads and we don't sell your data.
